Adobe researcher Mira Dontcheva explains Zoetrope, a new application that captures the history of web sites over time. There is a write up of the application, which is still being developed, and not available to the public, but the video explanation with examples, like how a user can use a “lens” to view a traffic map over days. Then the user can combine the traffic lens data with a lens that shows when there are sports events at stadium, and thus look at the impact of the sports arena on traffic.
According to the story, Internet Archive folks are very enthusiastic about Zoetrope. There is link to Adobe tech publications where you can download a .pdf about Zoetrope.
