I’m on sabbatical and that means thinking and having time to try things out. As you may have noticed, I had switched from my blog format to using tumblr for “iverson’s currentbuzz.org” mainly because it is so quick and easy to post something with tumblr.
I realized that while I was able to database and organize sites and links for my own research or because I was interested in them, it wasn’t much use to other people because the links were too sketchy. I really like the way Tumblr posts my tweets and friendfeeds, etc., but it is too impressionistic.
I’ve had time to update my WP, find a template I like, customize it a bit, and then who knew it was so easy, to import all of my former blog posts from my blogger versions of iverson’s currentbuzz, dating back to ’03. Now I’ve got to get my feed out there and build up my audience again, but I’m back as a blogger.
I love twitter. I like tumblr. But blogging adds meaning and communication to what you do online.
