Work habits will tell

My lack of backup and database uncoupling experiences were those what Robert Pirsig calls “gumption traps” because I was working after midnight (and I’m way over 30 and should have been in bed) and instead of just letting things be and looking at them in the morning, I had to push things.

The subconscious can be your friend, however, as in this case, when I stopped fussing, got some sleep, and over a cup of coffee in the morning, realized that the database is never going to work for a user with no priveleges. The upshot is that I got another blog I’m working on, back up and running and connected it to the database I had created for it previously.

Students, here is an important hint: RTFM is frequently very good advice….
