When Facebook was changing its privacy settings without user input, some students proposed on Kickstarter that they’d create an open source social network app that would let users be in control of privacy settings. They’ve been working for several months, and now the code is out.
Using Kickstarter, they crowdsourced their funding, and now the program, Diaspora, is out of the bag and ready to download.
I’m waiting for my T-shirt.
