The Friars Club Comedy Film Festival used it to solicit web films from aspiring comedians across the country. A group of students at Chicago Columbia College used the platform to document the recent the mayoral election in Chicago. The platform has also been used by dozens of sports enthusiasts, travel aficionados, bloggers and a more than a few civically minded journalists.
