Stealing a headline from AdAge, at least I’m not making money off the story on my blog by aggregating its headline and linking to it. That is what this story talks about. Politico is the site they focus on. Politico gets viewed often, but only makes money on some of the page views. Aggregators can cadge a link and headline, put up Google ads, and make a few cents on folks trolling for news. Oh well, that’s the way the web works. Politico needs to concentrate on the robust reputation it is making from being known widely, and figure out how to make money form its reputation.
