At the end of the day, I have since imposed my own ‘no email interviews’ policies. They should be a second to last resort, just before the Twitter interview. Because unless you are dealing with time or war zones, there’s absolutely nothing you can get via email that you can’t get with an in-person interview or a phone or Skype call.
