KakaoTalk is a free mobile messenger application for smartphones that is regarded as a must-have by many Koreans. According to the “KISDI Stat Report” published in April, SNS users in their teens, 30s and 40s use KakaoStory the most among all SNSs, including Facebook, Cyworld and Twitter.

Interesting that the real name policy seems to have led users away from Cyworld to Facebook that didn’t have the realname policy.
