Jay Rosen announced on Sunday that he is going to be “joining up with the new venture in news that Pierre Omidyar, Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras and Jeremy Scahill are creating, along with Liliana Segura, Dan Froomkin, Eric Bates and others who are coming on board to give shape to this thing, which we are calling NewCo until we are ready to release the name. ”
This is exciting, as it seems to me this group of folks have some idea of what and how news should be in the 21st century.
I remember Dan Froomkin at WeMedia one year, and he was outspoken that news have some bite to it.
